Scott Joplin Orchestral Poster

This poster was made for the orchestral piece “Maple Leaf Rag,” originally composed by Scott Joplin. In taking inspiration to the syncopated genre of ragtime, this poster aims to contrast organized, gridded type with a more experimental composition. Scott Joplin’s name is tightly weaved in between the fluid Maple Leaf Rag, accurately imitating the movement in the song. The colors also allude to the title, expressing the warm, autumnal maple palettes.
